Together we’ll choose a location that fits your vision, whether you’re drawn to soft rolling hills, tall pines, wide-open prairies, or something more intimate. I’ll send curated options so you can pick the scenery that feels most like you.
The Proposal
Show up at the designated time and make your way to the area we planned on beforehand. Don't rush it. If someone else is in that spot (which I try to prevent), take a deep breath and take your time.
Gallery Delivery
Within 2–4 weeks, your online gallery will arrive with beautifully edited images ready to download. You can also order prints directly from the gallery through my trusted, high-quality print lab.

Questions
How does proposal photography work?
Your partner usually won’t know, or won’t be fully certain. I suggest planning dinner or something nicer after so they bring a cute outfit or wear their best hiking clothes.
Can you help plan the proposal location?
Yes. Whether you’re proposing in the Black Hills or the Badlands, I have a curated list of stunning locations and ideal timing to make the moment feel intentional.
What happens right after the proposal?
After the proposal, I’ll briefly introduce myself, then give you time to soak it in. Once you’re ready, we’ll ease into portraits, with time to change outfits if needed.
How long do portraits usually take?
That’s totally up to you. We can create great images in 5 to 10 minutes, but the real magic usually happens around 20 to 30 minutes once you’re relaxed.
What should we wear for the proposal?
Wear the nicest clothes that make sense for the conditions. This could be jeans and a nice shirt, or elevated hiking clothes if you’re planning to hike.
What if the weather doesn’t cooperate?
As long as it’s safe, we can move forward even with wind or light rain. If needed, I have beautiful roadside locations that work perfectly as backups.
When will we receive our photos?
Sneak peeks are delivered within 48 hours, and your full gallery within a week. Expedited delivery is included. If you propose during a portrait session, your images will be ready in the 2-4 week timeframe.
