How much do you help with planning?
I help with locations, timelines, logistics, and any questions you have. If I don’t know something, I’ll research it so the process feels simple and supported.
Can we bring guests?
Yes. Elopements can include close friends and family. You’ll need an officiant and two witnesses, and most permits allow groups of up to 25 people.
How many hours of coverage do we need?
While 1–2 hours can work, most couples choose around 4 hours to include travel, portraits, a small celebration, or a meaningful experience together.
What is the best time of day to elope?
Sunrise and sunset offer the prettiest light. Forested areas are more flexible, but avoiding harsh midday sun will give you the best photos.
Do we need a permit?
Most public lands require a permit, but they’re usually simple and affordable (between $100 and $200). If you choose private land, you likely won’t need one.
Where can we elope in South Dakota?
