Colette + Pat’s wedding was such a sweet and fun event overflowing with family and friends. It involved a meadow just outside of Aberdeen, two freshly planted trees, and a couple who loved to laugh.
It was clear how deeply in love this couple is and how well they know each other. From tearfully exchanged gifts (a pocket knife for the groom, and a freshly planted tree for the bride) to how they easily laughed with each other throughout the day.
The second location of the day was a beautiful meadow right out of town. The groom, Pat, works in conservation, and part of his job involves working with this field. While even the guests at the reception don’t quite know what Pat does for work (it’s kind of a Chandler Bing situation), as when answering the trivia question about his job, one girl yelled out, “Dirt!”, Pat is passionate about what he does and loves being in nature.
The day ended at Moccasin Creek Country Club in Aberdeen. The couple told us that they’d had a difficult time securing a reception venue due to changing rules and regulations. There were too many unknowns with the venue they’d originally wanted to go with. This led them to look into Moccasin Creek Country Club, which ended up being just what they needed for their big day! The couple shared that they became social members of the club and were able to use Gordie’s for their reception hall.
Our bout at the wedding ended on the golf course, where we were able to capture a few fun moments between the couple on film. They’d been dancing their hearts out, and hair (Pat got to learn the magic of dry shampoo) and makeup had seen better days, but it was a sweet final moment with the couple. You couldn’t have asked for a better way to end the day with these two!
Congrats, Colette and Pat!
