Dylan and Mollie’s Monick Yards wedding was everything a late-summer celebration in Sioux Falls should feel like: warm, modern, full of color, and overflowing with personality. Monick Yards is one of the most unique industrial-modern venues in the area, and it fit their high-energy, playful vibe perfectly. From the moment I arrived, I knew this wedding would be one for the books.
Their day blended intentional design with the fun, bold atmosphere that feels so true to who they are. If you’re dreaming up your own Sioux Falls wedding, theirs is such a beautiful example of how to make a modern venue feel alive, personal, and unforgettable.

These two met on Bumble and had been dating just under three years when they tied the knot. Their relationship is that perfect mix of sarcastic humor, deep connection, and high energy. Dylan even thanked the creator of Bumble in his reception speech, which had everyone cracking up, and honestly felt so fitting for him. His personality shines through in every moment, and Mollie matches him with her thoughtful, expressive nature and incredible collection of tattoos that feel so true to her style.
The bridesmaids kept commenting on the little details she incorporated into the day, like her bright floral-patterned shoes that couldn’t have been more perfect. Their dynamic is sweet, grounded, and a little wild in the best way. They party hard, but they also settle into quiet, intimate moments with ease.

Here’s a quick look at Dylan’s personality. He’s not the one getting his shirt buttoned up. He’s the one doing the buttoning with a smirk in the background.
Monick Yards is one of the most effortlessly modern venues in Sioux Falls. The white walls, exposed beams, warm wood, and metal textures create a clean, stylish setting without feeling cold. The ceremony space is especially beautiful with its globe-like lantern lights hanging above, adding a soft glow that feels almost like paper lanterns floating overhead.
For Dylan and Mollie, florals were a major part of the design. Their arrangements featured warm summer tones that brought color and life to the industrial space. The ceremony was simple and elegant, allowing the florals to frame the moment without overwhelming it. Afterward, many of the arrangements made their way into the reception, bringing that same energy into the second half of the day.
The reception was filled with more florals, long king-style dining tables, and some of the most efficient bartenders I’ve ever seen. Truly a well-oiled machine. The couple gifted their guests $700 worth of drinks, which disappeared faster than any of us expected. It added this fun, lively atmosphere that matched the tone of the whole day.

We slipped away for a short portrait session, and even though it was quick, we created images that feel so true to them. Their energy makes everything easy: playful one minute, soft and romantic the next. The clean lines and textures around Monick Yards make it an ideal place for portraits, and these two made it effortless.
